Speaker: Kevin Nakano

Kevin Nakano started working for the California Alternative Energy and Advanced Transportation Financing Authority (CAEATFA) in April 2023 for the GoGreen Business Energy Financing program (small business, nonprofit, and multifamily clean energy, EV charging, and energy efficiency financing program).  He currently focuses on program design, strategic outreach, special projects, and provides operational support to the program team.  Prior to working at CAEATFA, Kevin managed multimillion-dollar lease renewal agreements and related tenant improvement construction projects for the DMV, an organization of over 8,000 employees working in 200 offices statewide and serving over 30 million customers.  Prior to working for the State of California, Kevin was a business owner for many years and before that worked as an auditor for EY’s Assurance & Advisory Business Services practice.  Kevin earned his first bachelor’s degree at U.C. Santa Barbara, his second bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Sacramento State, and a Master of Sustainability Management degree at the University of Southern California.   Today, he will share information about the GoGreen Business Energy Financing program which is helping organizations accelerate their energy upgrade and energy efficiency retrofit projects to help reduce energy consumption, costs, and greenhouse gas emissions.
