About Fisher House Southern California

Fisher House Southern California (FHSC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting military members, veterans, and their families during times of medical need. FHSC provides free temporary lodging and comprehensive support for families while their loved ones receive care at VA and military hospitals across Southern California.

The organization operates four Fisher Houses located at:

• VA Long Beach Medical Center
• Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton
• Naval Medical Center San Diego (two houses)

These homes serve as a “home away from home”, offering privacy, security, and community just steps from the hospital. In addition, FHSC helps arrange hotel accommodations when a Fisher House is unavailable.

Impact Highlights:

• Over 15,000 nights of lodging annually at no cost
• More than $2 million in savings for families in lodging, transportation, and food costs
• Serving thousands of military and veteran families each year

FHSC’s mission is to ensure that no family faces the stress of medical treatment alone, removing financial barriers and providing comfort during challenging times.
